Torque Training 101
The goals of our training? 1) The job gets done correctly and 2) no one gets hurt.
To achieve those goals, we customize our training based on the tools you rent and how much time you have. A typical training session starts with a class in a quiet conference room. That training includes .pdfs and a test. After the test, we go into your shop and do hands-on training with the tools.
However, we can customize it for the time you have. Recently, one customer gave us 20 minutes, a jumbo screen, and a microphone to train 300 workers.
Training on Our Torque Tools
We have a small demonstration rig for each tool that we have. We can wheel it into a conference room or just perch it on the tailgate of a truck.
- Hydraulic Torque Wrenches: We offer torque wrench training on square drives and low-profile hydraulic torque wrenches.
- RAD Guns: One of our goals is to get everybody to use the right torque chart for the right tool. We carry various models of battery-, air-, and electric-powered RAD wrenches.
- Hydraulic Tools: Need a hydraulic cylinder or stud bolt tensioner? We offer bolt tensioning training for large bolt assemblies.
- Wrenches: We offer a huge variety of wrenches. We train your workers on safety aspects like pinch-points, and some of our wrenches (like the load release backup wrench) eliminate pinch-points entirely.
- Torque and Tightening Tools: Our torque multipliers are a cost-effective way to get a 4:1 ratio.
- Flange Tools: Our flange tools not only keep workers safer, but they also minimize damage to the flanges and other piping components.
- Specialized Equipment: Our valve actuators and plate heat exchanger closing systems are designed to make your job safer and faster, but training always helps to decrease injuries.
